I discovered Robben Ford's music several years ago and have acquired most if not all his released work that I can find. I've seen a couple of gigs in London. As an enthusist in guitar playing I enjoy his music and learn a lot from Robben's style and ability. I live in South East, England and would really like to get over to California sometime to hear Robben play live there. I'd like to see the atmosphere of a gig there and, of course, admire the scenary of California while I'm there.
Cheers to all

Hi Ian,
Welcome to the board! Hey, when you make your trip to cal, you should take the extra time to drive up to Oregon. It's really pretty up here. Lots of evergreen forests, mountains, lakes and rivers..
I live about 40 miles north of the california/oregon border (have lived here most all my life). We have a milder climate than northern oregon, and get four distinct seasons. It actually gets a little too hot for me here in the summer, but I've yet to move. heh

Welcome aboard!
Late September would be a great time to come out this way. Maybe even take in Robben and the his brothers at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, CA, on September 25. Then stick around for a few weeks to watch either the Giants or the Dodgers in the baseball playoffs. I hate the way that the dollar keeps getting weaker against UK currency, but if it helps you, I can put up with it for a few more months. _________________ - BlueRunner |

It's not just the UK, Blue, it's EVERYWHERE outside our borders. And don't let any politician try tell you that our economy is getting better. Literally very single international trip I make shows me that my dollar is getting weaker and weaker. I haven't seen it this bad in almost 20 years and it's NOT getting any better. _________________ B C-ing U!

Do you really think Bing Crosby would be bothered? |
