Hi there,
When Robben plays in London, I'd like to stay till the end of the gig but....
Robben plays the Jazz cafe in the Camden district, in London.
Each time I haven't been able to stay till the end of the gig because last trains out of London are around 11.00 and 11.30pm which doesn't leave enough time to walk from the venue to the underground, catch the last tube from Camden, travel back to central London (possibly changing trains again) to a mainline station in central London. At his last gig at the Jazz cafe, Robben appeared on stage around 9.25pm - finishing too late to catch trains for several of the audience who live West, South, East to catch trains home.
The gigs are great, but I wonder if Robben could be made aware of the problem for those who travel into London by train and who need to catch last trains home. (It's easier by train and hard to get anywhere by car in London!)
To begin playing earlier - 9pm would help. I'm looking forward to the next gig.

isn't that ridiculous for a metropolis like London? That's the time when my children leave home to meet friends.... |

I had a similar problem last time I went, although as I stayed with my brother, I didnt need to get a trainall the way home, just a tune/minicab back to his house, past midnight.
Other times I have driven partially into London then got a tube back to the car then driven home back down the motorway to the west country.
Its a problem as often bands on short tours tend to miss the SW of England, last time Robben played close to where I live was 1996!

does anyone know if this gig is still happening? It's not listed on the Jazz Cafe website, and Robben's touring page is no help... |
