I'm probably way out of place here talking about drummers but I just received my copy of the re-released "Loose Change Live at the Grainstore" and I'm stoked!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Virgil has worked with a bucketload of people of the years inc Scott Henderson, currently working with Planet X and is probably one of Australia's more notable musical expats along with the likes of Frank Gambale. Brilliant drummer.

Loose Change were one of the more memorable bands of Australia's early Jazz Fusion scene in the mid to late 1980's (or maybe that's just my musical taste?) and the rest of the band are all still top level Australian session players. The recording - which has been impossible to get since the original run of 12" vinyl - still stacks up pretty well today too.

The Grainstore was also one of the more memorable music venues in Melbourne - for good reasons too. Nurtured a lot of players like Donati, Tommy Emmanuel and other top Aussie session guitarists like Simon Patterson, Jack Jones, Geoff Wells. Spent a lot of time there over the years, but now a lap dancing club (and for the record, I don't spend any time there!).

Hate to be on the sales pitch, but check out www.vorticitymusic.com for more info, samples etc. Well worth it, especially if you've had the pleasure of seeing this guy live.

Cool

Chris
