Hi,

If it's only technique it's marvelous. When I leave a string it always rings a little bit if not muted properly. Maybe the ultralow action is the key. So low that it mutes the strings itself.

And about the improvising thing, maybe he improvises those fast lines by choosing which one of them he plays. That's technically still improvisation ...
