Hey Scott,
Wondering why you (and Mike Landau) use both reverb and delay in a wet-dry wet setup. Just curious to know from your ears what the delay adds as far as ambiance, that you don't get out o ... |

I'm not familiar with that wet/ dry cabinet, but I imagine that the dry speakers are on the floor. I haven't had much luck with combos and cabs where the speakers are so close to the floor. I have to ... |

A great mic pre isn't necessary from a purely technical viewpoint, since you can feed the line box directly into your A/D converter, but it warms up the tone and makes IR's sound even more real. I'm s ... |

Sorry, that should've been on the video but I forgot. The load box volume is at 12 o' clock, and so is the "click" knob on the 1073 - I always keep the "fine tune" knob all the way ... |

According to John, modern amp builders build and EQ their amps using modern tubes, so NOS might not be appropriate - my opinion is that they sound the best in vintage amps.

Hi Scott,
Wondering your thoughts on NOS Tubes.
My new Marshall JTM45 THW comes with KT66s, 3x 12AX7s and a GZ34 Rectifier. While the KT66 NOS are prohibitively expensive, I'm wondering if it's ... |
