I'm not Scott, but I have the Tycobrahe and if you turn back the gain and the volume of your guitar you should get it right. And: use light distortion, not the clean channel! Works great with mine.

I found the tips at http://www.chicagoiron.com/ very helpful, even though I use a Voodoo Lab Proctavia, not a Tychobrahe or remake. I don't know which Octavia you're using - maybe the Fulltone? - but I've found the Proctavia is really finicky about where you put it in the signal chain. It only works in front of my fuzz & TS9, not after. Also, it works better with the neck pick-up on my Les Paul than any setting on my Strat, although I would've thought the reverse would be true.
