Hey Scott,
Some time ago, I'd asked for advice regarding the bridge on a Strat project I was planning. Based on your recommendation, I went with a six hole Trem instead of the two point Gotoh ones. I got a Callaham bridge that has a big steel block and have set it up to float. I'm surprised at how well this guitar stays in tune. I've been playing this guitar for some time now and it sounds brilliant! Only wish my playing was better haha
Thanks for the tip! Also, love the stock SD-9 that I got!
Great to hear! One of my Suhr guitars has a two-post Gotoh bridge - it sounds completely different, with less midrange. I think it might sound nice for recording a solo chordal tune, but with bass and drums it doesn't sound as fat as my other guitars with 6-screw bridges.
