OCTOBER 1st, 2005 MARKS EER-MUSIC.com's 7th ANNIVERSARY ONLINE!
Thanks to all the reviewers, friends, affiliates, collectors/traders, fans, musicians, labels, promo outfits, assorted web sites & those I forgot to mention that have made this vision possible. Thanks go out to Progression Magazine, ProgDay, & NEARfest faithful for holding the tattered prog & fusion banners high.
Recently, we have cut way back, on the CD-deluge-driven reviewing of new releases because we feel that HEARING the music speaks more direct to the fan than any wordy review can ever hope to achieve -- thus was born http://www.JazzRock-Radio.com -- and our 1st year has been very exciting & busy. No audio commercials, no fees or memberships, just free promo for the artist & labels and genres has been the successfully attained goal. Fans get to listen to hours upon hours of streaming mp3 files of hand-picked choice cuts. How fun is that? It's a great deal of work on the show's host & creator requiring many hours of selection, editing, file conversions, uploads, page design and adding direct shopping & info links. But JazzRock-Radio.com and our special 10-hour Ambient Bliss Space Music Show at http://eer-music.com/WEER/AMBIENT_BLISS_RADIO.html gets wonderful feedback from all over the planet.
I have had the pleasure over these past 7 years of writing of, meeting and/or speaking with Ozone Quartet, Alaska, Happy the Man, Scott McGill, Mastermind, Djam Karet, Smokin' Granny, Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth, Brett Garsed, the late great master of the guitar Shawn Lane, Jonas Hellborg, Derek Sherinian of Planet X, Chris Poland & OHM, Scott Henderson, Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Jonn Serrie, Chuck Wild, Don Slepian, Darshan Ambient, and so many more. EER-MUSIC.com has allowed me to come full circle in meeting, thanking, promoting, and even giving back my own inspired musicks to the fans.
What does the future hold? Tis unclear for now but to just keep on keeping on -- but sweetest of all -- I have had the inspiration to finally release my own music as SourceCodeX at http://CDBaby.com/SourceCodeX and see it selling well. Another set of CDs is forthcoming covering ambient, trance rock & prog fusion. May the circle of music be unbroken.

Oh yeah, and thanks as well to all you snobs or putzes out there (yes you) -- those attacking posters like rabid rabbits in assorted newsgroups & forums, -- ah yes, even you who tried to rip me off, stealing my reviews to resell at AllMusicGuide, and therein generally making me a stronger, thick-skinned, savvy, & aggressive cyber-presence. Those "wounds" long calloused over -- now allow the words and riffs to fly even easier than they did so long ago. "Woo-hoo!" _________________ "Show me that riff again man!" |
