Hi Scott,
I would like to know more about your SH100. Is this actually a Plexi with a MV and effects loop? If yes. I this a Super Bass kind of amp or more of a SLP? Does this sound really different from the crunch channel on your OD100 ?
I think once you said the best amp you have is an old plexi
Yes, the SH-100 is basically a Plexi with a loop and MV. It's neither an SB or SL, but somewhere in between. It does sound a bit different than the crunch channel of an OD-100 classic - better in my opinion. The reasons for that can be found in the INDEX under AMPS - there's a lot of info about the SH-100 there.
Actually I didn't like my plexi and only used it on two or three tunes before I sold it. Those amps are meant to be used with two 4x12's - one is not enough. You have to turn the amp up to at least 7 to get it to distort and at that point the neighbors are calling the police ad your four speakers are about to die.
