Hi Scott

I know you don't use a stereo sound anymore.

I play out of a 1x12 amp and I am wanting to experiment with stereo.

Even though you don't play in stereo live I know you know allot about it:

What is the best way to get a wide stereo image out of 2 amps live unmic'd without using pitch effects like chorus?
Would you use a stereo reverb or slap back or something else? Or maybe there is some trick with pitch effects so it doesn't sound like an "effect".

Thanks Scott

It's typically done by putting dry guitar on one side and 100% wet delay on the other - from 20 to 30ms. This just spreads out the sound and makes it seem wider. It also diffuses the notes which is good for legato playing.

Keep in mind, you're probably the only one who'll hear it the correct way. Even if it's a stereo PA, the only people who'll hear it correctly are the people sitting in the middle of the venue.

I agree with you.
To me stereo didn't sound natural even just playing by myself standing in the correct place. Maybe I am just not used to it.

I just set up a 1x12 extension cab next to the 1x12 amp and it sounds wider but natural.

Thanks Scott
