I've learned quite a few of Scott's solos and have actually taken the time to write two of them down...Carribbean (which is already transcribed in one of the books...as a matter of fact i bought the book cause i couldn't figure out the changes after i got the solo) and Giant Steps. I can't guarantee that they're completely perfect rhythmically as i'm not very literate once things get into 16ths with sincopations but they are pretty accurate...maybe you guys could help proofread. I have jpgs of these tunes that i did in Finale so let me know how to post and i'll put them up if anyone wants them.

Oh yeah...if anyone out there is good at getting the changes to TT tunes i'd love to see copies of any of the tunes that aren't published. The changes these guys write are usually impossible for me to get...you rarely have a steady bass line to work with during solos and the changes go to all sorts of wacky places you wouldn't expect.

That would be great!

In sections where there's no chords and both the bass and gtr-solo point in two directions at the same time, you can often write superimposed harmony. Like this:
G
Db

(I.e the "gtr. harmony" in the upper chord, and the bass harmony in the lower.)

I've been working on SLICK, BIG WAVE, SONG HOLY HALL, and Babylon, none of those do I know the chord structure. But the solo I have down pretty close, though no way I can play at those tempos Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed!! Chords are hard to figure out. I've been working on Gino Vannellis' Brother To Brother lp for twenty years, and still can figure out some of the guitar parts. I have to tip my hat to Hemme Luttjeboer. Great job on getting Scott's book and some of the fantastic music on print.
