Hey Scott, if i remember correctly, you're using the Vertex Landau Chorus mod right? Im using that too but cant quite get it to sound right with the kind of setup you do (that i use )...
Because the amp is slightly crunchy plus always having RC or SD9 on the chorus just seems like its distorted...it doesnt feel like its cutting through without peaking...even if u intend to use it as a vibe/leslie. The lows and highs sounds closed up and small.
I hv a friend who builds pedals that modded his SCH1 and it sounded different where the highs felt more in your face and lows werent muddied.
Can you explain if you hv this issue and whats your setting like on it?

I don't use that mod. Mason sent me one to try but it's too dark for me - I guess I heard pretty much the same thing you did. I use the original SCH-1. I had it modded to be true bypass, but that doesn't change the tone when it's on.
That being said, it doesn't mean something's wrong with the mod. I use that pedal mainly for chords, so I don't want highs rolled off. Mike uses it more as an effect for solos, and the mod seems to work for him - maybe he has it in a different place in the chain. Try moving it around on your board and see if that helps. _________________ www.online-discussion.com
Ok that makes sense. I guess i hear your playing a lot more that my ears just expect your type of sound coming out of the pedal. Ok let me try changing it around.
