Email me and I'll send you one Digital Performer file converted to a standard midi file - if it works and you're able to use it, I'll make a bunch of them and sell them from my website - we're talking 5 or 10 bucks for all of them. I think I have around 40. |
Hi Scott
I'll gladly test that file on my system to see if it works.
Let me know if it's just drums or both drums and bass ?

Sorry, people have tried them with mixed results. In my opinion, the standard midi files which Digital Performer spits out aren't that good. I've heard about missing tracks, shifted start times, no track names, and of course the need to re-assign patches from your synth to each track. It's not something I'd be comfortable selling. My tracks were made to go with my drum machine and my sounds - take those away and you haven't got much to work with. |

Any thoughts on this?
You have at least one buyer here. |

Sorry, but that's a lot of work. Half my play-along files haven't been converted for use with my software, because it's configuration was changed to work with the Apogee A/D converter 10 years ago and I never updated the files. So first I'd have to convert the tunes, record each midi track, mix them, bounce to disk, etc. It's too much work - the package of tunes isn't worth more than 5 bucks, and I have more important stuff to do like write some new music! |
