Hey Scott, is there a London date on the upcoming tour? I know it's an extra flight from mainland Europe but hope so... Maybe it's more a question for your tour manager.
Cheers

Hi Matt,
The dates are not on Scott's site yet, but you can find it here http://www.ceagency.eu/touring/
The nearest venue from my place is Mainz (250km less or more). Not that long to see Scott, but I won't make it this time. I hope Scott will keep on touring a lot in Europe, so one day his calendar may match mine.
By the way, Scott, how can your tour Europe with a 100% french backing band, and not having a single date in France? (just joking, I know it's not all about your decision)

Also, I have to add that I really can't complain about the date's choice, Mainz is not that far away. Paris would be almost 400km from my place.
But I remember I read somewhere that you had been playing once in Nancy (almost where I am). But I'm not sure it was a gig, I think I remember it was a masterclass. |

I was just about to post this for July.
19 Edimburgo, Scotland - Jazz and Blues Festival
20 London, UK - Guitar Summit
21 London, UK - Workshop
About France, that's my agents decision but I stand behind it. They offer so little money that for us it makes it literally not worth the travel. In my 30 year history as a bandleader, I've never played in Paris. I've sold out venues all over Europe, but for some reason promoters in Paris don't think I can draw a crowd. We tried to book a gig there for the upcoming tour in May - we were offered 800 dollars. This is a joke and my agent doesn't even pay attention, he just laughs. We had the same problem for years in the UK until we sold out Ronnie Scott's for two nights and then promoters started paying attention. |

800 dollars isn't a joke, it's an insult!
How about the Netherlands, didn't your agent inquire here? |

Exciting news that you're playing in the UK! It must have been a long time since the last time hasn't it?
How do you run the classes? I'm signed up to both of them & really looking forward to it all. |

I don't have my own agenda for workshops, because I have no way of knowing the level of the students - often they vary greatly. I just play some tunes and do a question/ answer thing. It's better for the students because they can ask about whatever they're interested in at their particular level. |

Hi Scott,
since you are playing in Sweden and Russia, is it possible to play in Finland too?
Or is Finland also a place for a cheap paycheck?
One of the greatest you are as Yoda would say..
Cheers

I haven't played in Finland much - I played at the Pori Jazz Festival a few times with Joe, but I don't remember if I've ever played in Finland with Tribal Tech or my trio. If you know a promoter or club there, let me know! |

Tavastia Klubi and Koko Jazz Club for example.
Hopefully this summer we'll see and hear you here! |

Jesus Christ. I got paid more for tango gigs at old people's home back in Finland few years ago.
Shame you won't come to France though. I do know some promoters. This year is too late but for next year I will try to make some contact. |
