Hi Scott,

I'd like to know if you have the feeling that your playing changes a lot depending on you backing band.
Many musicians play always with the same band, so they may have their habits. Some others like Bruce play everyday in a different situation, so they can't have habits.
But you have the same band for a couple of years now, and it's you second tour with your "abroad band".
So I wonder if there are things you do with one band and not with the other, or if each band has its own personnality and how you react to it. Do you ask them to get close to your band's sound or are they free to play their sound? Do you need time to get used to your american band when you come back?
I think you got my point. The topic is broad, so please feel free to tell us whatever you think is interesting.
thanks
Kevin

PS Maybe lucky ones who have seen you with both bands could add their two cents

Romain and Archie are more jazzy players than Travis and Alan, but both rhythm sections are great. With any musicians I work with, I sometimes have to tell them to add more or play less, but most of the time they get the concept of the tune and I don't need to tell them anything. I don't play any differently - both bands know how to keep the music dynamic and conversational. If they didn't, I wouldn't be playing with them.
