Scott, i know you are a very open minded person.
I want to ask you if you ever tried to listen to death metal.
If yes, which bands do you like?
If no, i would like to make a suggestion.
The faceless is kind of a progressive death metal band.
The founder and guitarist Michael Keene is pretty good, i think.
He incorporates Jazz and Fusion elements.
I think his father is a jazz guitar player and i heard they were fans of yours.
These guys are obviously great musicians, and I wouldn't categorize them as Death Metal, even though they're influenced by it. They're also influenced by Yes and and other progressive rock bands, and they're into harmony, which is very atypical for Death Metal. The guitar player gets good tone and is musical, another thing I don't hear very often in Death Metal. Like Meshuggah, they have a hip rythmic concept and it fits the music, it's not just chops for chops sake. Also the level of writing is much more sophisticated than anything I've heard in this type of music. It's like a musician's Death Metal band - I love it!

Wow, i am glad you like it.
I really like the musicianship of this band, as you said.
The bass player on this record was one of Victor Wooten's students.
You played with Victor in the past, i think.
I really like heavy music but i also like harmony.
It's very cool for those to not be mutually exclusive. _________________ If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.
