Hi Scott. I know you use carbon batteries for your distortion/fuzz pedals. But have you ever tried any DC pedal powers that has 'Sag' feature? (ex. Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus) If you have, did you think that they didn't sound as good as carbon batteries?
Sorry, I haven't heard that one. Although I hear a big difference between batteries and AC power in the studio, it's not as noticeable on stage. What drove me crazy was the hum I'd get from using AC power with my pedals, even with ones which were supposed to be "isolated". Using batteries totally knocked out that problem. I haven't checked out the newer AC power units so they must have improved them by now.
