Hey Scott

I know you like the Jan Ray.

I have been loving it into a clean fender amp.
When you use your hotrod deluxe if you want a dirty less compressed tone---like your RC into your marshal---have you tried the Jan Ray?

Then when you have to use your hrd you could get your high gain sound with the sd9 and your lower gain rc boost sound with the jan ray.

Or maybe you don't like the jan ray into a clean amp?

I don't like any pedal into a totally clean amp. John modified my HRD so the clean channel has more crunch, and now it sounds better with pedals.

I don't use the Jan Ray live, only for recording. It has more midrange than the RC Booster, so I prefer the jan Ray with the Bandmaster, and the RC with the Marshall.

Someone accused the Jan Ray of being a clone of the Timmy pedal, and for the record, I don't know anything about that. I would have hard evidence of that before calling the guys at Vemuram thieves - they seem like nice people to me.

I am interested in that mod for the hrd. Maybe i'll email suhr.

And I have the jan ray and have tried the timmy.
I don't know anything about pedal making but the sound is not the same at all. It is so different that I love the jan ray and didn't like the timmy.
