Hi scott.
Hope you everything goes well.
I would like to ask you about your EWS Volume control.
I got the pedal last week and i tried it between amp and guitar.
and a high tone was lost so much. then i read the manual and it says to use
between pedals and the amp. if the guitar is run directly into the SVC, a
treble loss will occur. i tried it with other pedals. but i still lost treble.
If it is used with a mixer which is like your way, is it ok?
Is there no way not losing the treble when i use it with just amp and pedals?
The SVC has a low impedance pot and needs to see either a line level signal or a buffer. Pedals vary in the amount of buffering they have. If you're loosing treble with the SVC between your pedal and amp, then it's possible that your pedals don't have a lot of buffering going on. I like to use the SVC in the FX loop of the amp, because then it doesn't affect the gain - I adjust the amount of gain I want by switching pedals or adjusting my guitar volume.
