I've already responded to this issue on the Vertex Boost thread, but about Mike's letter, I think he did the right thing. He's never been one to endorse anything, and it's just bad luck that the first time he did, all this drama happened.
Just to be clear, people like me, Mike, Robben, etc., are not the police. It's not our job to know how companies do business with their customers. That being said, when it becomes clear that a company is acting unethically, their endorsers tend to distance themselves from the situation, and rightly so. Nothing about this is anyone's fault but Mason's, and as I advised him to do months ago on the Vertex Boost thread, he apologized. I'm sure many people were giving him the same advice.
