Have you tried the new NYXL strings from D'addario?

Any thoughts?

Yes, they sound great but they're brighter than the regular ones. I've got plenty of treble already so they're not for me.

Have you tried the Pure Nickel D'addario's? I've been playing them for a while and switched back to the regular ones and my first impression was "Oh, that's bright!".

I've never tried those - I'm happy with the brightness factor as is, but I'll check them out because now I'm curious. My friend and I did a string shootout a few years ago and we were both very surprised at how different they all sound. I've been using D'Addario for a long time, so I was happy because we both thought they were the best sounding strings of the 10 popular brands we tried.
