Hi Scott,
Are you still picking with the rounded end of a heavy gauge pick? Do you ever turn the pick around for different colors tonally?

No, I don't like the pointed part of the pick - it's very thin sounding. However I do change the angle of the pick - the top edge makes the note really thick, but the side of the pick gives you more spank and precision for playing lines. I also use my fingers quite a bit and in my opinion that's still the best tone. I find it difficult to play swinging lines with my fingers and that's the only reason I still use a pick.
