Hi Scott,
Are you using a volume pedal in your live rig these days? From the photos in your gear section it looks like the subtle volume control is there, but no master volume pedal. I am wondering how you make that work with the trio.
Also, how many patches would you say you need on the se-70 to do a gig with the trio? It doesn't seem like you do a lot of scrolling through patches during your gigs. Thanks!
I don't use a traditional volume pedal anymore. I only used it for sweeps, and I'm getting better at using my guitar volume for that. Also I'm using a wet dry rig now - just a Fender HRD for the wet sound. Those big delay pads sounded huge through the 4x12, but they sound wimpy in the Deluxe, so I don't do it anymore.
SE-70 patches depend on the song list. There are some songs like Mysterious Traveler where I'm using about 7 different patches, and 5 on Db Waltz. On my own tunes, Nairobe Express has about 10, but we haven't been playing that one. Many of my tunes have just 1, the delay/ reverb patch. Once in awhile I use a short slap back delay - great for blues.
