Hi! Recently saw Scott playing live and i've noticed that instead usual pedal case you using ordinary suitcase for clothing. I wanna do same thing with my pedal board, could you give me some advice on that(i mean how u do padding, how u store pedals e.t.c) Thanks!
Scott, few more questions, plz. 1. When you play live near your home do you bring your own amp(amps?) with you, or you almost exclusevly play rented amp? I'm asking because of that reason, that my current rig consist of fractal axe, and I want to go to more analog rig and trying to figure out weight and transport issues. Is it worth to spent some money in amp or only pedal? Sorry, if my question looks dumb, I feel myself donkey now
When I'm home I use my own amps, and I have duplicate amps at my agent's place in Italy. On the ground in Europe I have my own gear, but when we fly I rent amps - which means on tours in Asia, South America and the US, since those are all flying gigs.
I rent a Marshall JCM 2000, two 4x12 cabs with Greenbacks, and a Fender Deluxe for the FX. The reason I rent two cabs is because they're 16 ohms each and I need two to make the amp run at 8 ohms, which sounds the best. Usually I turn one cabinet around backwards and put it behind the front cabinet. Two cabs facing the audience is overkill for most of the venues we play.
