Hey Scott,
I really enjoy Guitarwank and im curious what you really think about tribute bands, like there is a guy called "Randy Hansen" who considered to have the best Hendrix tribute band in the world, he is around 62 and playing/practicing hey joe for 45 years, using the same pedals and stuffs, even a left handed guitar turned to be right handed... the thing is he can touring around the world playing Hendrix for living.
Few songs he really nailed but the rest not big deal.
So what do you think about that, does it worth to being a musician and play Hendrix or any other great player songs forever??
Thanks
I guess if someone loves a band or artist that much and feels like he can musically say more by paying tribute to them, why not? There sure are a lot of people doing it these days. That being said, it doesn't seem like a very creative music career to me - I believe the most rewarding thing about being a musician is finding your own voice.
