So I did a quick read about Xotic guitars and wondered if you have d ER played one? I know you've been with Suhr for a long time so it might seem like cheating but from what I read I think they are built by a Japanese luthier? Supposed to be really good...
I've never played one, but Travis uses Xotic basses and he loves them. I'm sure the guitars are made very well too. For me it's about finding a light one. Light pieces of alder aren't easy to find anymore, so I don't know Xotic's position on weight allowance. Actually Suhr changed their policy about that awhile ago, but I'm not sure exactly how heavy a guitar can be before they won't sell it. Hopefully it's not 10 pounds... ha ha. A good sounding strat usually weighs 7 pounds and 7 to 12 ounces.

Funnily enough the reason I now own an Xotic XSC guitar is indirectly because of Scott!
At the last NAMM show I went to say hi to Scott who was at the Xotic booth talking about his latest pedal and while I was there I picked up one of the guitar prototypes. Fast forward 8 months and they built one for me. Here's more info on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Co-p607K1PE _________________ TrueFire Instructor
