Hey:

I saw your comment about Gary recommending you some players and I wanted to start a separate thread about Gary. I've seen him (on video) with Big Al (Holdsworth) and I thought Gary was just fuckin FANTASTIC!!! A GREAT example of chops and humor... I can't remember if you said you've played with Gary personally or not, if you have can you comment on him? He sounded like a very "In the pocket" player. I've played with drummers that PULL you through the music and others that lagged a bit behind but the ones I prefer are those rare players that can actually do all 3 depending on what the song dictates...

I'd love to see Scott playing with Gary ánd Joey DeFrancesco. That would be a monster trio!

I've worked with Gary a lot - on gigs around LA, in Scott Kinsey's band with Matt Garrison on bass, and with HBC on a Europe tour while Dennis was sick. Gary's is one of my all time favorite drummers.
