Hi Scott
I have a fender blues jr (tweed) with jensen C12-N speaker ( I will put a greenback ).
I want to buy a distrotion pedal. I can’t test maxon sd-9 or fulltone plimsoul in my country. So I have to order the pedal from another country.
Which sounds better with a fender amp ?
Should I buy the RC booster and combine it with SD9 for a high gain sound ?
I know you do this with your HRD.
But Idk there is a huge difference between HRD and Blues Jr or not.
I don't know the difference in gain between the Blues Jr. and HRD, but the SD-9 is the best distortion pedal I've found for any Fender amp. It has some compression and works equally well for all pickups. The PlimSoul and Klon are also great pedals but they work better for the treble pickup than the neck.
I used to have a blues jr and it was cool because it has a master volume.
You could run it dirty like Scott does and then add the sd9 on top of the amp dirt.
