Hi
I have read the discussions on pedal settings with great interest. My setup is: Maxon SD9 into Analogman-modded TS9 into Roger Mayer Voodoo-1 (guess where this idea came from!!). I have tried to follow the settings here described and have noticed a dramaticly better tone and dynamics with the volumeknobs turned up to max. But the problem comes when I will use clean sound (perhabs only with the Voodoo-1 on)-then it seems to be too low to work in a live situation. Is there anybody here, who have experienced with this setup/settings ??
I have the same experience that you have .... but I have asked the "volume issue" question to Scott on the current Q&A thread so lets wait and see what he has to say
Hello
I have SD9 and Voodoo1 but i run Voodoo1 first so that I can keep it running as a kind of buffer through the other pedals.
What is the advantage of running the Voodoo last?
If this has already been dicussed , please refer me to a thread.
I don't have any experience with the Voodoo but I have used other pedals as boosts ... if you put the boost first you will add gain to all the pedals that come after it, or preserve your unity gain and tone the way that you're using it, as a buffer.
By running the boost pedal last you will not necesarily add more gain but you will boost the volume of the pedals that go before it. That is useful when you want to raise your volume for solos but keep your same tone. You could get some more OD from the amp as a result of the boost though ...
