Just thought i'd put in a plug for Wayne's new instructional book, that you can order from his website.
Out of respect for Wayne, i'm not going to go into too much detail, but i will tell you:
-there is no tab, and no musical notation in this book. There are however, a lot of numbers.
-this book is geared towards developing the ability to improvise, and that word is important, as in the context of this book, it means leaving behind all your scales, patterns, shapes, and everything else we guitar players love to rely on.
-you will need a cheap tape recorder and a metronome to get the most out of this book
-this book is an entirely new way (for most it people it wil be anyway) of practicing. Some people will read it and hate it, or think it's crap, but if you have an open mind, and spend some time working on the concepts contained within, the rewards can be endless.
If you have $25, and feel like trying something different, i highly recommend it.
