I was thinking about the music market and the scotch market. If we compare Scott to a single malt scotch, both are better, more interesting, aquired tastes, etc.. The reason single malt scotches work and Scott touring in the U.S. doesn't work is that people expect to pay more for the scotch whereas people expect Scott's shows to be relatively cheap. If his shows were $100 a ticket would you see him? Think about it, you are seeing a better musician in a much, much more intimate setting than, say an Eric Clapton show. Isn't it worth a much higher price ?
Heh.. It's a typical stupidity case of people who tend to value everything that way.. If it costs more, it's better!! Nice idea with the scotch.. _________________ ...to deny our own impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human...
