hi folks,
just got my OD100 SH (purple cover) yesterday.. it just sounds amazing!
i just have a littel problem... i played the amp "dry", no effects and everything was ok, then i put a very short cable between the send a nd the return of the FX loop to be able to use the master volume on the back.
then i try to use my intellifex in the FX loop (set a -4db) and after 5 minutes of playing the volume just go away and come back.. kind of volume pedal effect..!!!???? i thought a tube was maybe tired and needed to be changed but it works fine the other way using the fx loop.
does anyone have an idea of what that problem would be..? or what do i do wrong..
also, can i use a volume pedal in this effects loop?
Hmmm, sounds weird. If you tried just using a short cable between send and return and things sound fine then the problem may be with your intellifex. Doesn't sound like a tube issue. John Suhr told me in an email that you can use a low impedence keyboard volume pedal in the loop.
Good luck, those are GREAT amps!!! I want one in purple tolex too!!
thank you for the reply!! the problem is the intellifex i think.. i use the loop with a short cable between the send and return to use the master knob at the back and it works fine... so the problem is definitely the "Fucktron" (as bradshow would say)
but i've been playing that amp for about a week, i'm on an album project now in a studio in Montreux and that's unbelievable how great it is in a mix!!
i will quit the intellifex and try a W/D/W setup with a MPX1
Well, it sounds like you are on your way to figuring out what it is. I LOVE my Intellifex but it's an older one. You might just try spraying some contact cleaner in the in and out jacks of the intellifex and working a plug in and out as the contacts just may be corroded.
