Does anybody know how Scott wires his guitars so that the tone controls are bypassed in positions 2 and 4. I have been trying to figure it out for the last few days, and I have come up with nothing. Does he use a special selector, because it seems impossible with a stock 5-way switch.

You have to use one of the big 4-area 5 way switches. If you need a wiring diagram, reply to this and I'll send one to David to post.

Thank you mango for answering. Are you talking about the Megaswitch or the 5-way Super Switch, or is it something else altogether? I already have a megaswitch and can easily get the other one. All info on the net concerning the Super Switch focuses on switching humbucker coils in or out. If you do have any info on the tone bypass wiring, I would love to get it.

I got the switch and did the wiring as per the instructions from kirk95. All I can say is Wow! All strats should come that way. What a difference! And since there is still a free pole. I am going to get a RW/RP middle pickup, and split my VVs automatically in the 2 and 4 positions.

Thanks again kirk95.

rotren, Scott mentionned this wiring in round 13.
