He's so funny. My favorite movie of his is Talladega Nights - how can you go wrong pairing him with John C. Reilly and Sacha Baron Cohen? There was a bit on SNL that John Suhr showed me today - Will Ferrell as the cowbell player in Blue Oyster Cult - amazing!

Years ago in a band called "Pulse"You wrote a song with Harry Johnson on drums......David Hineline on keyboards...and me on bass....(amature lol!)
ever think about resurrecting that song?It was called..."Spontaneous Spaceman Boogie" hehehe..bet you don't remember...lol! been over 40 years ago...

Take care!Hope to cross paths one day for ole time sake.Don't play bass no more...but it is good to see that you made a success!I knew you would!

Sincerely,your friend,

Can you give me a list of tested microphones for home recording?
Any tips are most welcome.

That was a great Goulet! The real one was awesome in The Naked Gun 2½.

About mics, check round 2.29, around the middle of the page.

Hi John,

I don't remember the tune, but hopefully it's on that reel to reel tape which I plan to convert to digital - I just need to borrow a machine to play it on. I'm sure there's some stuff I should post. People can hear me playing when I was 16 and say "wow he sounded better then!"

Good to hear from you!

+1.

My favorite scene is the one where the family is at the dinner table, Ricky Bobby finishes saying grace, and Walker (or was it Texas Ranger?) says "you made that grace your bitch, Dad!"

I know - that line cracked me up too! Really unexpected - like "have you ever seen a grown man naked" in Airplane.
