I just had a terrible band break, cutting things short the lead singer cancelled a big gig on us at the last few weeks for a party at some studio. When we were all understandably pissed he decided to lecture us on how we were all in the wrong etc etc... things got nasty.

What's some of the worst band break ups and fall out's you've had?

My experiences are different from yours because I haven't been in that many "bands". My situation is about being a bandleader and having to fire people, which causes temporary problems but it's still a drag.

A band member did something outrageously unprofessional to me, actually two things at once, both equally as bad. He later apologized and made up for his actions. Years later I ended up hiring him again... on our first gig, he did exactly the same type of thing again. Needless to say he was fired permanently and I'll never work with him again, and I can't think of one professional touring bandleader who will either.

Another guy seemed to enjoy embarrassing me for some reason - he'd wait until we were at a dinner or surrounded by people, and then say something totally inappropriate. Every time he did it I fined him 200 dollars, but he did it at least 4 or 5 times before finally learning to keep his mouth shut. I eventually fired him because of his playing, but getting rid of his behavior was a perk.
