Hey Scott,
Do you know anything about this amp? Talking about the reissue, not the original. They seem to go for about $1,500 used and have heard some good clips, but always great to get an expert opinion. I've decided after years of playing fenders and boutique fender type amps, of possible taking a leap to the dark side.
Looking for creamy beautiful breakup tones with my Suhr reactive load. Wondering if there's any other models or brands you would recommend at a similar price point as well?
Sorry, I don't know anything about the newer Marshalls. The only Marshall amps I use are the JCM 2000 DSL100 or TSL100, when I fly and need to rent gear. I haven't tried any newer ones than those, except for a DSL 100H, which sounded really awful.
I just bought a Mini Jubilee Combo but I haven't heard it yet. I'm hoping it sounds better than my Fender HRD.
Unfortunately most of the better brands of 100W heads cost more than 1500. The Suhr OD-100 classic sounds great - I really don't know of a better sounding amp, except for their hand-wired series which are really pricey.
