Hi Scott,

We all know that you have been inspired by many guitar and sax players (which makes you a searcher, not a stealer )
I'd like to know if you've been inspired by singers as well. I think we all have a tendency to see the singer as the showman, the frontman, the poet, the dancer etc... But I realize that some singers have their own way to sing (I'm not talking about their voice, I'm talking about the lines they are singing), which make them composers as well as any instrument player.

So, have you stolen anything from a singer to improve your writing?

Not to improve my writing, but I like listening to singers, and often their phrasing inspires me. There are so many good ones in all the styles, from Sarah Vaughan to Beyonce. The list is way too long for my typing skills.
