Hi Scott,
I'll be visiting Ney York next week and I want to buy a lefty strat, but the Suhr Scott Henderson is kind of too expensive for me. My budget is about $2500. What guitar would you recommend me to buy? (And do you know of a good guitar store in NY?)

There are some nice re-issue strats for about that much - the one I used on Dog Party was a 90's re-issue of something vintage, I forgot what. The important thing is that whatever you buy will sound much better with good pickups - that makes a major difference, so I'd suggest spending some of your money on that.
I'm not sure which music stores in NY have the best strat collections. Maybe someone else on the forum can help.
