Hey Scott,

I was wondering, if you could play high gauge strings (12s, 13s and up) without any problems, would you use them?
You switched from using 9s to 10s or 11s because they sound fatter, would you go up further if heavy strings felt the same as 11s?

Thanks a lot man!

I'm not sure because I've never tried it. I like 11's tuned to Eb, but if I went up to 12's I'd have to tune to D. I should try it sometime and see if it works for me. SRV used 12's tuned to Eb and it sounded huge, but he had really strong hands - no way I could handle any more tension than I have now.

Cool man! Nice to hear you still willing to try out new gear setups.

You might also want to try a wound G string. You can't bend for shit (half a step at best) but I think the tone is more consistent and firm with it
(you don't get bad tone if you picked the string in a wrong way) or at least that's my experience with them.
