Hi Scott,
I purchased your "Ultimate Guitar Tone" vids on My Music Masterclass and man...I can't remember having spent my money better😀 The amount and quality of information you're sharing is just beyond awesome!

But still I have a little question: in part 3 you're showing typical vintage strat tones (Vintage and dark vintage setting). Are these sounds made only with the Marshall or is your RC BOOSTER also engaged?

Greetings,
Nigel

Thanks Nigel, I'm glad you like the videos! In the vintage part I'm still using the RC Booster with the same settings. The amp is always set on crunch - it's the mic placement, guitar tone knobs and amp EQ which make it vintage sounding or not.

I really enjoyed these as well!

I was surprised that you didn't discuss Strat saddles, nuts and frets that much (maybe I missed it). Do you think the steel bent saddles make as much of a tone difference as the trem block? I started using graphite saddles on my strat many years ago and loved how they darken the tone. What about the stainless steel frets on your Suhrs?

Yes I should've mentioned that stuff - I just forgot. I've never tried graphite saddles but I definitely like the bent saddles more than the block ones - they produce a bigger note. Stainless steel frets are brighter according to John, so I've never tried them.
