Hi Scott. How would you compare the clean tone from the Voodoo 1 (volume all the way up, gain at 0) with the tone you get when rolling back on the guitar’s volume using an SD-9?
The SD-9 is a good pedal but it's completely useless for a clean tone. Rolling the volume down on the guitar just turns the tone into mud. The RC Booster is the magic pedal which does that better than any pedal I've tried - it has enough gain for solos and cleans up great when turning down the guitar volume. The Voodoo 1 is nice too, but it has way more bass, so I've found it more useful with Fenders than Marshalls for a clean tone, but for a boost it works fine with both.
