I noticed his new tour schedule and should have known something was coming. Though, he did not mention anything coming at the shows I saw him at this year.

And then there's that Michael McDonald thing.....
Is that dead?

I haven't gotten it yet, but Sirius XM Bluesville is playing "Justified" pretty regularly. It's sure great to hear Robben on the radio again!

I have given the CD a good few plays now, and I have to say its really growing on me! I like the upbeat, funky feel, and prefer this release much more compared to the last couple.

Robben's rhythm playing, and harmonies, and general songwriting stands out on this release. In fact, for guitarists in particular, this is a great example of top notch rhythm guitar, something which remarkably no one really seems to comment on when referring to Robben's playing.

For me the golden era was the blue line material, together with "Tiger walk" as a splash of instrumental genius, and the "Supernatural" CD for his vocals. This however, is a fresh take on Robben's new direction and one I like a lot.

As always Robben, please keep providing us with your great music! Many thanks!

It always seems to take time for new stuff from Robben to grow on me. It's been this way for me since I bought my first Robben album, Talk to Your Daughter.

This one, like the others, is starting to do that. I'm particularly digging Justified and ZZ Ward is spectacular so Breath of Me has quickly become a favorite.

I think it's going to be another winner of an album.

I still haven't heard anything except "Justified" and it just doesn't sound like blues to my ear - even though they play it on Sirius XM's Bluesville. This morning I heard Robben on the cut "Take Out Some Insurance On Me". That was some straight up blues and it was great!
